More Charges Dropped in Victoria Martens Case

SOME OF THE CHILD ABUSE CHARGES AGAINST JESSICA KELLEY FOR HER ROLE IN THE DEATH OF VICTORIA MARTENS IN ALBUQUERQUE HAVE BEEN DROPPED. THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE SAYS EVIDENCE HAD INITIALLY SUGGESTED VICTORIA HAD BEEN FORCED TO INGEST METHAMPHETAMINE, BUT NO SUCH SUBSTANCE WAS FOUND IN HER SYSTEM.

TWO COUNTS CHARGING KELLEY WITH CHILD ABUSE AND CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT CHILD ABUSE HAVE BEEN DROPPED. SHE STILL FACES MURDER AND RAPE CHARGES WITH HER TRIAL SET FOR JANUARY OF NEXT YEAR.

MURDER CHARGES AGAINST VICTORIA’S MOTHER, MICHELLE MARTENS AND HER BOYFRIEND FABIAN GONZALES, WERE DROPPED WHEN EVIDENCE SHOWED THEY WERE NOT AT THE RESIDENCE AT THE TIME OF VICTORIA’S DEATH.
