Families Displaced by Albuquerque Fire

A FIRE IN NORTHEAST ALBUQUERQUE PUTS THREE FAMILIES OUT OF A HOME FOR NOW. IT WAS AROUND MIDNIGHT WHEN ALBUQUERQUE FIRE CREWS WERE SENT TO THE SPAIN GARDEN APARTMENTS, A FOURPLEX IN THE 84-HUNDRED BLOCK OF SPAIN. ON ARRIVAL, FIREFIGHTERS SAID THERE WAS HEAVY SMOKE AND FLAMES COMING FROM A SECOND FLOOR APARTMENT, AS WELL AS THE ROOF.

THE FIRE WAS UNDER CONTROL WITHIN 15 MINUTES AND WAS CONTAINED TO THAT ONE UNIT. THE DISPLACED FAMILIES ARE NOW STAYING WITH RELATIVES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE HASN’T BEEN DETERMINED YET.
