Attorney Suspended

THERE’S ONE LESS ATTORNEY PRACTICING LAW IN NEW MEXICO. ARASH KASHANIAN OF ALBUQUERQUE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY FOR ASSISTING A COUPLE IN FILING WHAT THE COURT CALLED “FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS.” THE SANTA FE NEW MEXICAN REPORTS THEY WERE FILED ON BEHALF OF ANDREW ROSS AND THE LATE SUSAN GERARD, WHO WERE FIGHTING THEIR EVICTION FROM A SANTA FE RESIDENCE.

THE NEW MEXICAN SAYS THE LAWSUITS ALLEGED THAT ATTORNEY GENERAL HECTOR BALDERAS RAN A CONSPIRACY INVOLVING MOST EVERY OFFICIAL IN THE FIRST JUDICIAL DISTRICT. THE COURT MAINTAINED THAT KASHANIAN WAS MAKING STATEMENTS WITH “RECKLESS DISREGARD FOR THE TRUTH.”
