Albuquerque Rallies Against Gun Violence

HUNDREDS TURNED OUT AT ALBUQUERQUE’S ROOSEVELT PARK ON WEDNESDAY FOR A NATIONAL TOUR TO END GUN VIOLENCE. THE RALLY, ENTITLED “ROAD TO CHANGE,” WAS HOSTED BY STUDENTS WITH THE GROUP “MARCH FOR OUR LIVES.”

THOUSANDS OF ALBUQUERQUE RESIDENTS CAME OUT IN MARCH AFTER 17 PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN THE SHOOTING AT MARJORY STONEMAN DOUGLAS HIGH SCHOOL IN PARKLAND, FLORIDA. THAT “MARCH FOR OUT LIVES” RALLY WAS A NATIONAL MOVEMENT. THE GOAL OF YESTERDAY’S RALLY WAS TO INCREASE VOTER REGISTRATION AND POLITICAL ACTION.
