Public Invited to “Listening Sessions” on APD

YOU HAVE A CHANCE THIS SATURDAY TO AIR YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT YOU’D LIKE TO SEE IN A NEW POLICE CHIEF IN ALBUQUERQUE. APD FORWARD REPRESENTS 18 GROUPS THAT CAME TOGETHER FOUR YEARS AGO, PUSHING FOR REFORM AT APD. IT’S HOSTING A LISTENING SESSION WITH THE CITY’S POLICE CHIEF SEARCH COMMITTEE.

STEVE ALLEN IS WITH THE ACLU, PART OF APD FORWARD. HE TELLS US PUBLIC COMMENT WILL BE TAKEN. HE SAYS PEOPLE CAN WRITE DOWN COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS ON CARDS, WHICH WILL BE READ TO THE SEARCH COMMITTEE.

THE LISTENING SESSION IS FROM 1PM TIL 3PM AT THE ALBUQUERQUE CONVENTION CENTER.
